Formerly known as the “South Course” Kaanapali Kai was redesigned in 2005 with new greens and tee boxes. Kaanapali Kai is a shorter than its sister course- Kaanapali Royal. It has a sporty feel with it’s tight fairways. Kaanapali Kai’s southern location can provide shelter from wind that can frequent its sister course- Kaanapali Royal. A unique characteristic for the Kaanapali Kai is the steam locomotive than runs through it. Kaanapali Kai is fun to play and offer some of the best rates on the west side.
Best to play mornings as the trade winds peak up in Kaanapali and afternoon can be very challenging.
